An Amazon delivery driver is under investigation after allegedly stealing a family's cat during a delivery in California.

Brenda Wilson, a resident of Bakersfield, reported her 7-year-old cat, Juni, missing, stating that an Amazon delivery driver had taken the feline while on duty. Wilson shared security camera footage showing the incident, which occurred on April 14.

The video captures the delivery driver placing a package on the doorstep before interacting with Juni. The driver is seen petting the cat multiple times before picking it up and carrying it away from the house. Another camera angle shows the driver getting into a delivery vehicle with the cat.

Local police have confirmed they are investigating the case as a cat theft. The whereabouts of the delivery driver are currently unknown.

Wilson has taken to social media to appeal for information about Juni. She described the cat as a small, 7-year-old tabby that is very docile and responds to its name. Juni was last seen wearing a pink collar with blue decorations. Wilson urged anyone who had seen the cat to contact her.

She also shared photos of Juni, whom she has owned since 2022, emphasizing the cat's importance as a family member.

An Amazon representative told the New York Post that the delivery driver is not a direct employee of Amazon but works for a third-party delivery service partner. The company stated that an internal investigation is underway and that they are cooperating with the police.
