【北京時事】中国外務省の林剣副報道局長は１日の記者会見で、米紙ニューヨーク・タイムズの北京駐在記者の居留許可を取り消し、事実上の国外退去としたことを明らかにした。同紙の昨年１２月のイベントに、台湾の頼清徳総統がビデオインタビューで参加したことへの対抗措置とみられる。

林氏は、同紙が「台湾当局による台湾独立の誤った言論に場を提供した」と非難。記者については、駐在中に条例違反に当たる取材手法があったため「法に基づき居留許可を取り消した」と主張した。

林氏はさらに「米側が『対等』を理由に、米国にいる中国国営新華社通信記者に政治的圧力をかけた」と主張。「断固反対する」と述べた。

米メディアによると、ニューヨーク・タイムズ記者はイベントには関わっていないが、今年２月に国外退去となった。同紙は５月２９日に出した声明で、中国側の措置は「誤りだ」と批判した。
