The second quarter underpinned the home side's victory — they kicked 10 goals to zero for the term.

At one stage, they managed 13 straight majors but to the credit of the Kangaroos, the visitors refused to give up.

Still, they have to deal with the fact they have lost four consecutive matches after making a solid start to the season.
