Salman Khan and his team approached the Delhi High Court claiming the film uses his personality and life story without permission. They further suggest that the proposed film wrongly portrays the events connected to him and violates his personality rights.

The ‘Maatrubhumi’ actor's legal team further argued that the movie takes inspiration from his 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his alleged rivalry with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. They have approached the court to stop the film's release. During an earlier hearing, Salman Khan's lawyer, Nizam Pasha, told the court that the film’s poster and trailer had already been released even though the release date had not yet been announced.
