KAZAN, May 15. /TASS/. The Egyptian authorities intend to develop cooperation with Russia in the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors, Egypt's Minister of Industry Khaled Ali Maher told TASS at its on-site studio during the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" in Kazan.
"Answering your question about projects of interest to us, Russia is highly competitive in its heavy industry, food industry, and pharmaceuticals. We are keen on exploring these avenues of joint work and integration between the Egyptian and Russian sides in these specific fields," the minister said.
According to him, Russia possesses strong technological capabilities, extensive localization of domestic production capacities, and valuable experience in personnel training and professional development.
The 17th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" is being held in Kazan from May 12 to 17. TASS is the general media partner of the event.
