Une idée écartée par Sébastien Lecornu pour 2026, mais qui pourrait resurgir pour le budget 2027 ou lors de la campagne présidentielle.
« Je maintiens ma proposition d’une taxe différentielle », a affirmé l’ancien ministre aux députés après avoir prêté serment. De quoi s’agit-il ? D’une taxe destinée à éviter que les contribuables les plus riches ne réussissent de façon légale à contourner l’impôt commun. Puisque ces personnes très aisées peuvent piloter leurs revenus imposables de façon à les minimiser, par exemple en utilisant une holding, le plus efficace consisterait, selon Eric Lombard, à calculer l’impôt en se fondant non sur les revenus, mais sur le patrimoine.
