목격자 신고로 현장에 출동한 소방 당국은 장비 27대와 대원 등 81명을 투입했으며, 오전 9시 4분께 대응 1단계(차량 31~50대의 대응이 필요한 경우)를 발령하고 연소 확대 저지에 주력했다.
불은 2시간 22분 만인 이날 오전 11시 4분께 초진됐다.
업체 내 기숙사 직원 등 8명은 자력 대피했으며, 현재까지 인명피해는 확인되지 않았다.
이 불로 공장 건물 2개 동이 불에 탄 것으로 파악됐다.
경찰과 소방 당국은 불을 완전히 끄는 대로 정확한 피해 규모와 화재 원인을 조사할 방침이다.
