MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. Ukrainian security services had spent a long time preparing a terrorist attack against a military enlistment office employee in Russia’s southern city of Krasnodar, but the Federal Security Service (FSB) foiled the plot, detainee’s messaging with a Ukrainian handler, shown in the FSB video, reveals. "We have been planning this operation for a long time. Do not let me down," the handler wrote to the perpetrator. He added that "they knew the route of the military officer." After carrying out the terrorist attack, the man was to leave for Georgia in the South Caucasus. "Then you will have to go to Georgia for a month," the handler wrote, while discussing preparations for the terrorist attack. In his messages, the perpetrator expressed his support for the Kiev regime and promised to do everything that the handler asked. The handler’s name is Roman. The detainee referred to an explosive device as a "toy" and kept it at home. Earlier, TASS reported that FSB officers foiled a terrorist attack against a military enlistment office employee in Krasnodar and detained a suspect, who was planning to blow up his vehicle under Ukrainian intelligence services’ instructions. According to the FSB, in September 2025, on his own initiative, the detainee made contact via Telegram with representatives of a Ukrainian terrorist organization banned in Russia. The FSB investigative department of the Krasnodar Region has opened criminal cases under Article 275 (treason), Part 2 of Article 205.5 (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) and Part 3 of Article 222.1 (illegal purchase of an explosive device) of the Russian Criminal Code. The court has ordered the suspect’s detention.
