A Gold Coast nurse has been charged over a series of alleged offences involving six teenage girls.
Detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit allege the 58-year-old used his position to offend against the victims between November 2020 and May 2024.
On Saturday night, police arrested and charged the Robina man with six counts of stalking, two counts of indecent treatment of a child, and one count each of sexual assault, abuse of office, possessing child exploitation material, and creating child exploitation material.
The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
A spokesperson has said in a statement Gold Coast Health is aware of the "concerning" allegations involving a staff member.
"We understand the member of staff has now been charged by QPS.
"As a values-led organisation, staff and patient safety is of the utmost importance to us, and we take these matters extremely seriously.
"We will continue to cooperate with QPS as this matter progresses.
"As the matter is now before the courts, it would be inappropriate to make any further comment."
Investigations are ongoing, with detectives appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
