이날 곳곳에 20~60㎜의 비가 내리겠으며, 전남 남부에는 80㎜ 이상 많은 비가 내리는 곳도 있겠다.
비는 이날 늦은 오후까지 이어지겠으며 오전까지 전남 남부를 중심으로 시간당 20~30㎜의 강한 비가 내리는 곳이 있겠다.
비가 그친 뒤에는 무더운 날씨가 이어질 전망이다.
오는 3일에는 일부 지역에서 최고체감온도가 30도 이상으로 올라 덥겠다.
낮 최고기온은 이날 25∼29도, 3일은 26∼31도로 예보됐다.
3일 낮부터 늦은 오후 사이에는 전남 동부 내륙에 5~10㎜의 소나기가 내리는 곳이 있겠다.
광주기상청 관계자는 "강하고 많은 비로 인해 토사 유출, 산사태 및 낙석, 축대 붕괴 등에 유의하길 바란다"고 말했다.
