IKEA India is implementing an expansion strategy in the Delhi NCR market, following its e-commerce entry and the launch of its first city store in West Delhi.
IKEA India will open its second city store in Delhi at DLF Avenue, Saket, on July 30, strengthening its expansion strategy in the National Capital Region as the Swedish home furnishings retailer seeks to bring its products and services closer to customers across South and Central Delhi.
Spread across 30,000 sq. ft. (2,800 sq. mt.), the new city-format store will offer nearly 3,000 products, including around 1,400 items available for immediate takeaway. Customers will also be able to access IKEA's full range of more than 6,900 products through its website, mobile app and Shop by Phone service.
The opening follows IKEA's e-commerce entry into Delhi NCR in 2025 and the launch of its first Delhi city store in West Delhi, as the company continues to strengthen its omnichannel presence in one of India's largest consumer markets.
"Saket and DLF Avenue feel like a natural new home for IKEA in Delhi. With our second city store in the capital, we are making it easier for more customers to explore our range, find inspiration and access home furnishing solutions that suit their lifestyles and budgets. To create an experience that is truly relevant, our teams visited several homes across South Delhi to better understand people’s everyday challenges, dreams and aspirations. This opening marks another important step in our journey to come closer to our customers and create a better everyday life for the many people," said Patrik Antoni, CEO, IKEA India.
The company said the Saket outlet has been designed around insights gathered from households across South Delhi, where demand is increasingly driven by adaptable, functional and aesthetically designed home furnishing solutions for evolving living spaces. The store will feature room settings, home planning services, delivery, assembly and installation support, along with an IKEA Café serving Swedish favourites and local treats.

The expansion also builds on IKEA's growing customer base in the region, which now includes more than 300,000 IKEA Family members across Delhi NCR, the company said.
IKEA added that customers in the region can now shop through its digital channels, visit its two Delhi city stores and benefit from its Central Distribution Centre in Gurugram. The retailer is also developing full-size stores in Gurugram and Noida as part of Inga Centres, underscoring its long-term investment plans for the Delhi NCR market.
"DLF Avenue is continuously evolving to create a destination that reflects the changing lifestyles and aspirations of our consumers. The arrival of IKEA marks a significant milestone in our repositioning journey, reinforcing our vision of bringing globally recognised brands and differentiated experiences together under one roof. We remain committed to creating a vibrant destination where shopping seamlessly integrates with dining, entertainment and everyday lifestyle experiences," said Pushpa Bector, Group Executive Director, DLF Retail and Whole-time Director, DCCDL.
