Sayali Satghare to Maia Bouchier, OUT! LBW! Sayali Satghare strikes now. She goes full again and on the fifth stump line, jags back in down the slope a long way. Maia Bouchier, just like her opening partner, gets caught in her crease and ends up playing all over it, as the ball hits the front pad right in front of the stumps. There is a big shout for LBW, and up goes the finger. Maia has a chat with her partner but keeps walking back. England Women in a tough spot now.

England face an uphill battle after managing just 170 in their first innings. Apart from Amy Jones' fighting half-century, the hosts failed to build meaningful partnerships against a relentless Indian attack.

Their bowlers also struggled to make inroads after dismissing Shafali Verma early in India's second innings. Sophie Ecclestone, who picked up three wickets in the first innings, will once again shoulder the responsibility of leading England's bowling attack and attempting to spark an unlikely collapse.

The hosts know that allowing India's lead to stretch beyond 400 could effectively end their hopes of avoiding defeat.

India's biggest priority on Day 3 will be to build an unassailable lead before declaring. With Mandhana well set and Yastika looking comfortable at the crease, the visitors have the ideal platform to accelerate in the morning session.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and the lower middle order are still to bat, giving India the luxury of increasing the lead well beyond the 400-run mark. A target in excess of 450 would leave England with little realistic chance of chasing and shift their focus purely towards survival.

Given the flattening pitch, India are expected to balance quick scoring with ensuring they have enough time to bowl England out twice before the Test concludes.
