Iran: Ready to Strike Israeli Targets if Beirut Attacks Continue

Erakçi made statements on current issues to the Lebanon-based El-Meyadin television.

Stating that communication with the US has not been cut off, Erakçi said, “Contact with the Americans has not been cut off, and there has been messaging regarding the need to stop the aggression against Beirut. However, no concrete progress has been made in the negotiation process.”

Erakçi evaluated that returning to the negotiation table is dependent on securing the rights of the Iranian people, ending the war in Lebanon, and stopping the tensions in the region.

Erakçi stated that during the ceasefire talks with the US, he asked Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to specifically add the name "Lebanon" to the article about ending conflicts on all fronts, and that they ultimately achieved this.

Erakçi noted that they clearly stated to all relevant parties that they would not remain silent in the face of the attack on Beirut, and said, “If Israel's aggression against Beirut continues, our armed forces are fully prepared to strike targets within Israel.”

Erakçi said that the US clearly sees Iran's "strength and capability in this war," and evaluated that if US President Donald Trump acts "rationally," he will "never return to war."

Stating that they are not seeking war but will respond decisively to any attack against their country, Erakçi conveyed the following:

“We are fully prepared to continue the war for a long time and have the necessary military capacity. Our military situation is better than it was before the war began.”

Stating that the US wants unconditional surrender, but such a situation will not happen, Erakçi said, “The end of the war is not and will never be in the hands of the enemy.”
