وبشأن رفض التسكين والتوطين، أوضح المجلس أن موقفه يستند إلى أحكام القانون رقم (24) لسنة 2023 الخاص بمكافحة توطين الأجانب في ليبيا، مشددا على أن ليبيا لن تكون ساحة لتصدير الأزمات أو مخزنا لتداعيات السياسات الدولية والإقليمية على حساب مصالح شعبها وأمنه القومي.
وأكد مجلس النواب أن معالجة ملف الهجرة غير النظامية يجب أن تتم في إطار احترام السيادة الوطنية وتطبيق القوانين الليبية، بما يضمن حماية مصالح الدولة وعدم فرض أي ترتيبات تخالف الإرادة الوطنية أو تمس الهوية الليبية.
ودعا المجلس الجهات التنفيذية والإدارية والرقابية والأمنية إلى الالتزام الكامل بأحكام القانون والتصدي لأي إجراءات أو ترتيبات يمكن أن تُفسر على أنها تمهيد أو غطاء لمشاريع التسكين أو التوطين، مطالباً بإعطاء الأولوية لمعالجة قضايا المواطن الليبي، وفي مقدمتها توفير السكن وفرص العمل وتحسين الخدمات الأساسية.
وجدد المجلس تأكيده على أن وحدة ليبيا وسيادتها وأمنها القومي ليست محل تفاوض أو مساومة، وأن الحفاظ على الهوية الوطنية مسؤولية جماعية تقع على عاتق جميع مؤسسات الدولة والقوى الوطنية.
