83' Goal ruled out for Sweden

D

By David Hirst

Mattias Svanberg has only just come on for Sweden and thought he'd scored with his first touch.

Clearly offside though.

Goal each for big guns

D

By David Hirst

Gyokeres and Isak have a goal each.

They've been the difference in this game.

Premier League class has been too much for Tunisia.

'72 Tunisia make three changes after drinks break

D

By David Hirst

Sebastian Tounekti, Elias Achouri and Mohamed Hadj Mahmoud are on. Can they make an impact?

Yan Valery, Elias Saad and Ellyes Skhiri go off.

More boos for the hydration break

D

By David Hirst

FIFA has introduced a number of new rules for the World Cup. The hydration break is proving to be the least popular.

For the second time in Monterrey, boos ring out as the players stop for a drink.

63' Subs for Sweden

D

By David Hirst

Lucas Bergvall and Elliot Stroud on for Gabriel Gudmundsson and Benjamin Nygren.

59' A gift for Sweden!!

D

By David Hirst

GOOOOAAALLLL!!

A disaster for Tunisia. Isak knicks the ball off the defender and it falls to Viktor Gyokeres who buries it.

Is that game over?

Hannibal Mejbri running things

D

By David Hirst

It never really happened for Hannibal Mejbri at Manchester United, but the Tunisia midfielder is taking hold of this game.

His delivery has been top notch.

Sweden have been fast asleep since the break.

'50 Tunisia on the front foot

D

By David Hirst

That goal just before half-time has done wonders for Tunisia.

They've had most of the ball in the opening stages of the second half and are attacking.

Hannibal Mejbri floated in a tricky cross which the Swedish keeper had to jump to grab.

Or was it an effort to chip the keeper? Cheeky if it was.

Players out for the second half

By David Hirst

Can Tunisia get back into it?

Will Isak and Gyokeres continue to shine for Sweden?

Last 45 minutes of football for the day coming up.

Boos for the drinks break

D

By David Hirst

Love the Boos for the “hydration” break lol. Will the commercial … hydration breaks be carried all the way through the competition including the finals?

- Amelia

Hi Amelia, yep the drinks breaks are here for the whole World Cup.

The breaks will still happen regardless of the weather or temperature.

My colleague Dean Bilton has actually just written this on the controversial subject.

HALF-TIME: Sweden 2 Tunisia 1

D

By David Hirst

Well, that Tunisia goal has changed things. It was all Sweden up until then.

Very enjoyable half.

Time for a quick sandwich. Back for the second half soon.

43' Goal for Tunisia!

D

By David Hirst

Out of nowhere!

Hannibal Mejbri swings in a fantastic cross and Omar Rekik glances a fine header into the bottom corner.

Where did that come from? It was Tunisia's first real chance.

Premier League big guns on top

D

By David Hirst

Gyokeres and Isak are bullying Tunisia.

Not surprising seeing they cost about a combined $370 million.

30' 2-0 Sweden!!

D

By David Hirst

Alexander Isak scores!

It's a bad goal for Tunisia to concede.

Sweden go through the middle with ease. Isak gets the ball, cuts inside and fires home.

Keeper should really have done better though.

Isak's movement was great. That's why Liverpool paid $257 million for him.

22' Drinks break

D

By David Hirst

Sweden on top at the first drinks break.

18' Could be a long night for Tunisia

D

By David Hirst

Tunisia really struggling to get a foothold in the game.

Saad just broke forward for Tunisia but fired well over.

Sweden look up for this. Full of intensity.

Sweden scorer could have played for Tunisia

D

By David Hirst

Yasin Ayari could have been playing for Tunisia because of his heritage.

Oh what could have been.

The Brighton midfielder really put his foot through it.

7' Goal Sweden!!!!

D

By David Hirst

A beauty!

Gyokeres has a shot cleared off the line but Yasin Ayari fires in from outside the box.

WHAT A HIT

Açık Sorular

  • Will hydration breaks continue throughout the World Cup?
  • Can Tunisia improve their performance in future matches?
