容疑を認め、「運行できなくなると営業に支障をきたすので、処分が決まった時に偽造ナンバーをつけて運行しようと考えた」と供述しているという。
亀有署によると、男は4月上旬、偽造したナンバープレートを貨物自動車の前後にとりつけ、横浜市内を走行した疑いがある。
会社は2月、運行管理などに不備があったとして、国土交通省から車両の使用停止処分を受け、ナンバーを一時返納していた。
署は、男が返納する前のナンバープレートをカラーコピーし、本物に似せるために数字に凸凹をつける工夫をしたうえで、ラミネート加工して偽造していたとみている。
警視庁に情報提供があり、発覚した。
