Rahul Gandhi Sets Three Non-Negotiable Demands to Break Parliament Deadlock

Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi has set three non-negotiable demands to break the Parliament deadlock. In a press conference, Gandhi reiterated that Union Home Minister Amit Shah must clarify who authorised the firing on students during the NEET paper leak protest. He also demanded Prime Minister Modi’s apology for the incident and accountability over the donation theft at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. Gandhi emphasized that the opposition is not interested in general discussions but seeks clear answers on these points. Earlier, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju stated that Amit Shah is prepared to respond in Parliament, urging the opposition not to disrupt the proceedings. The deadlock has persisted for 15 days, with the opposition seeking direct accountability from the government.

Rahul Gandhi said, "The question was always that Amit Shah has to make it clear who authorised the shooting of our youngsters in Delhi. Pellet guns were fired, students were beaten with lathis with nails on them. He should come clean. Did he order it or did he not order it? If he ordered it, he is guilty of getting our children shot. And if he didn’t know about it happening, he’s incompetent. Either way, he should go."

The Congress leader also referenced the Ayodhya Ram Mandir theft, stating that individuals close to the Prime Minister were involved, demanding accountability. Rijiju’s response highlighted the government’s willingness for a detailed discussion, provided the opposition allows an uninterrupted parliamentary process. The situation remains tense, with the potential for further disruptions based on the government’s response to the opposition’s non-negotiable demands.
