The light-hearted remark has resurfaced after Aamir tied the knot with Gauri Spratt in an intimate registered wedding ceremony held on Sunday at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
The private celebration was attended by the couple's close family members and friends.
Present at the ceremony were Aamir's three children from his previous marriages — Azad Rao Khan, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan — along with his son-in-law Nupur Shikhare and his mother.
Among the notable guests were filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, cricketer Irfan Pathan and politician Raj Thackeray, who joined the family to celebrate the occasion.
Aamir had first introduced Gauri Spratt to the public on the occasion of his 60th birthday in March last year. At the time, the actor revealed that the two had known each other for over 25 years but had only recently begun a romantic relationship.
