2일 서대문경찰서는 싸이와 의약품을 처방한 대학병원 교수, 매니저 등 총 6명을 의료법 위반 혐의로 지난달 29일 검찰에 송치했다고 밝혔다.
싸이는 2022년부터 작년까지 대면 진찰 없이 서울 한 대학병원에서 향정신성의약품인 '자낙스'와 '스틸록스'를 처방받고 이를 매니저 등 제삼자에게 대리 수령하게 한 혐의를 받는다.
현행 의료법은 환자를 직접 진찰한 교수만 처방전을 작성할 수 있으며 직접 진찰받은 환자가 아니면 처방전을 수령할 수 없다고 규정하고 있다.
자낙스와 스틸녹스는 수면 장애와 불안 장애, 우울증 치료에 쓰이는 향정신성의약품으로 의존성과 중독성이 커 대면 진찰과 처방이 원칙인 것으로 알려져 있다.
이번 수사는 지난해 여름부터 제보를 단서로 시작됐다.
싸이 소속사 피네이션은 작년 8월 입장문을 내고 "전문의약품인 수면제를 대리 수령한 점은 명백한 과오이자 불찰"이라며 "죄송하다"고 밝혔다.
