Erst in den vergangenen Tagen hatten Medien berichtet, dass das Bahnprojekt später in Betrieb gehen werde als zuletzt angenommen. Laut „Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung“ (FAZ) muss die Eröffnung des Durchgangsbahnhofs auf Ende 2031 verschoben werden. Auch dazu hatte sich die Bahn nicht geäußert.
