海巡署副署長謝慶欽表示，中國違反國際法與海洋法國際公約，是「假執法、真騷擾」，海巡署全程派艦艇監控、強勢驅離，破解中國營造管轄權的假象。中國近期頻繁利用灰色地帶侵擾與認知作戰，營造管轄權假象，海巡署已做好萬全準備，會採取必要手段捍衛我國國家的主權，恢復我國海域的安全，請國人放心。
媒體追問，外籍商貨輪是回應我方還是回應中方？謝慶欽說，根據海巡署掌握的訊息，中國公務船對外籍商貨輪，有部分的是有回應下一個港口等資訊，回應我方是「收到、收到」，有的是沒有回應。
行政院發言人李慧芝強調，近期中國「假執法、真擴權」，不斷侵擾周遭海域自由航行的船隻，我們要再次重申，中華人民共和國與中華民國是主權互不隸屬，中共無權介入涉及台灣主權或管轄權任何議題。我們要呼籲國際社會共同關注中共、中國在台海周遭的挑釁，與企圖破壞區域和平穩定現狀及挑戰國際秩序的不法行為。
