West London fire
Three men died after a major fire ripped through a single-storey pavilion in west London's White City on Saturday evening, according to the London Fire Brigade (LFB). Firefighters pulled the three men from the burning structure on New Zealand Way after the blaze erupted shortly before 7 pm local time. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third was rushed to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
100 firefighters, 15 engines deployed
The LFB launched a large-scale emergency response, sending around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines to tackle the blaze. Crews from North Kensington, Acton, Chiswick and nearby fire stations were mobilised after multiple emergency calls reported the incident. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control by 9.25 pm, but not before it destroyed more than half of the pavilion.
Cause under investigation
LFB Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne confirmed that specialist fire investigators are working alongside the Metropolitan Police to determine the cause of the fire. "Sadly, three people have died following a fire on New Zealand Way, White City," Goulbourne said. "The fire involved a single-storey pavilion, with just over half of the structure damaged."

The Metropolitan Police said officers attended the scene and are assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities are also working to identify the victims and inform their families formally. The incident occurred close to Loftus Road, the home stadium of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, drawing a significant emergency response and local concern.
