雲林縣議員蔡明水在上週議會總質詢提出，這幾年人工、農業資材及油價等生產成本攀升，農民經營壓力沉重，希望已30多年沒調整公糧運費可以提高，縣長張麗善答詢同意提高4倍，每公斤從0.3元提高至為1.2元，連日來各農會接到不少農民詢問電話。
縣府今天邀請各鄉鎮市農會總幹事說明，縣長張麗善表示，雲林縣為全國重要糧倉，8萬多公頃農地超過4分之1種水稻，第1、2期種植面積約3萬5000公頃，因極端氣候種植挑戰更嚴峻，加上人工短缺工資上漲，農藥、肥料等農資材漲價，為保障農民權益，讓農地能穩定種植及確保糧食安全，決定把公糧運費提高至1.2元。
張麗善指出，這是一個長遠補助計畫，加上現在又是選舉敏感時刻，若急就章上路，可能被外界誤解是為了選舉，需要編入年度預算，因此規劃明年上路。
大埤農民謝志坪說，從每公斤從0.3元提高至1.2元，1分地1期可以多出500多元，雖不多但對農民是一個小確幸，500、600元可以買一包肥料。
縣農會總幹事陳志揚指出，公糧運費補助30多年前每公斤0.3元，對農民有幫助，在萬物齊漲、通貨膨脹情況下0.3元沒有實質意義，提高到1.2元一分地多出600元，對農民是有幫助。
縣府農業處長魏勝德表示，縣府調查目前各縣市公糧運費補助，每公斤大約在0.3元至0.8元左右，縣府提高至1.2元，一年約需9000萬元經費。
