Israeli Strikes Kill 14 in Lebanon as Ceasefire Tensions Escalate
Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon killed 14 people including two children and two women, with 37 injured, Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported Sunday. The IDF said a 19-year-old soldier was killed and six injured in a Hezbollah drone attack. Both sides have accused each other of violating the ceasefire that took effect on April 16 and was extended by three weeks last week, with Prime Minister Netanyahu warning Hezbollah's actions are "disintegrating the ceasefire" and asserting Israel's right to act in self-defence.
