Paddington Bear Statue Vandalized Again in Southampton Park
A Paddington Bear statue in Southampton has been taken from its bench for the second time, just days after being reinstalled. Police found the 3ft 6in sculpture missing from Guildhall Square in the early hours of Sunday and discovered it abandoned but intact in nearby East Park. Officers gave the statue a 'police escort' while arrangements were made for its return. The statue, which originally arrived in Southampton in 2024 as part of a UK-wide film promotion trail, was previously removed in April when the bench was destroyed by vandals.
