Valar Atomics announced a $1 billion equity round led by Sequoia and a $200 million credit line from Erebor, aiming to scale small modular nuclear reactor production.

Valar Atomics, an SMR startup, is reportedly seeking a $6 billion valuation in a new funding round, with Sequoia expected to lead. The company, which recently partnered with Nvidia to power AI data centers, previously raised $450M at a $2B valuation.

Valar Atomics, a new nuclear startup, aims to revolutionize the industry by selling nuclear fuel instead of electricity or reactors. Their Ward 250 reactor, designed for high-temperature steam electrolysis to produce hydrogen and then synthetic fuels like green methanol or SAF, offers higher efficiency and faster cost recovery than traditional nuclear power.
