Trump Halts Planned Military Attack on Iran Amidst Negotiations
President Trump has postponed a planned military attack on Iran, scheduled for Tuesday, following a request from regional leaders who believe a "very acceptable" deal is imminent. Trump stated that the deal would ensure "no nuclear weapons for Iran" but did not specify provisions for the Strait of Hormuz. He has, however, instructed the Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to remain prepared for a full-scale assault if negotiations fail.
