Philippine paper bowls and German effervescent tablets fail border checks

Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found Philippine paper bowls from "Potato Corner" and German effervescent tablets to be non-compliant with regulations. The paper bowls exceeded limits for potassium permanganate consumption and residue, while the tablets contained excessive sweeteners. Both shipments were ordered for return or destruction, with stricter inspections implemented for the involved importers and products from their respective countries.
