Mara Flavia Souza Araujo, a 38-year-old Brazilian fitness influencer and experienced triathlete, died during the swimming portion of Ironman Texas in The Woodlands near Houston on Saturday. She was reported as a lost swimmer around 7:30am, and divers discovered her body approximately 90 minutes later in 10 feet of water. Preliminary investigations indicate she drowned.
