ETimes praises Akhil Akkineni's performance

Apart from its box office performance, Lenin has also received positive responses for Akhil Akkineni's performance. The ETimes review stated, "Returning after a three-year gap, Akhil Akkineni settles comfortably into his first full-fledged rural role. He underplays the character for much of the film before delivering his strongest performance in the emotionally charged climax. Bhagyashri Borse is convincing as free-spirited Bharathi, while the supporting cast lends credibility to the story. Sivaji, despite an effective screen presence, feels somewhat underused. " Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin features Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, with music composed by Thaman S.
