10일 오후 부산 해운대구 한 호텔에서 발생한 화재는 보조배터리에서 시작된 것으로 조사됐다.
11일 부산소방재난본부와 파크하얏트 부산에 따르면 전날 오후 8시 부산 해운대구 우동 파크하얏트 부산 11층 객실에서 발생한 화재는 침대 옆 협탁에서 충전 중인 보조배터리에서 불이 났다.
투숙객이 없는 상태에서 불은 시작됐으며 다행히 스프링클러가 작동해 10여분 만에 자체 진화됐다.
한밤 화재경보기에 놀란 투숙객 25명가량이 놀라 1층 로비로 대피했다.
소방 당국은 현장에서 보조배터리 수거해 발화 원인을 조사하고 있다.
현재까지는 보조배터리 과열로 인한 화재로 추정되고 있다.
부산소방재난본부는 100여명의 소방대원과 장비 34대를 투입해 화재 신고에 대응했다.
