除休闲旅游外，商务考察、经贸交流也成为南美五国人士来华的重要目的。巴西籍商务人士布鲁诺表示，在海外的各类社交媒体上，大家都能感受到，南美国家和中国的商贸往来愈发密切，借着免签出行的便利，他想实地了解中国企业的商业发展模式，并从中寻求合作机遇。
随着上海“文商旅体展”融合发展的吸引力持续释放，近年来，各类国际展会、体育赛事集聚上海，第八届中国国际进口博览会上，拉美地区参展企业超200家，仅巴西、阿根廷、智利、秘鲁、乌拉圭五国就有100多家参展商携各国特色产品集中亮相。密切的经贸往来让五国民众来华旅游、探访体验的热情日益攀升，商贸往来与文旅互通实现双向赋能。
