Netball: Impressive results in both goal circles By Gemma Ferguson I've never been so jealous of another person's height — despite strong (and tall!) defenders in each goal third, shooters on both sides make catching those lobs look easy!

New Zealand has been shooting with more accuracy than Jamaica, but the Sunshine Girls are up in the air fighting for every rebound off that goalpost.

At the end of the third quarter, the Kiwis are still ahead 41-36.

After losing the first quarter by three points, they drew in the second (equalling NZ's 12 goals that quarter).

New Zealand will be feeling the pressure as they look to improve their silver outcome from 2022, but you wouldn't know it looking at their shooters — the Silver Ferns have made every goal they've attempted, bar one, so far tonight.

By the netball final's halfway point, the Kiwis are leading 28-25.

Aussie cycling superstar's proudest moment: NOT spewing on the podium By Jon Healy Australian Leigh Hoffman has won three golds and a silver medal in this packed program.

He was the second last rider in that men's 1,000m time trial, so had a truncated warm-down before climbing onto the podium to receive his gold medal, and he looked ready to vomit up there.

"You don't feel human," he says.

"You're just so cooked, my legs are still burning right now, I think it's been a solid hour. There's no pain like it for sprint and endurance – 1 kilometre all-out sprint, 58 seconds of pure pain. I'm still feeling it.

"I made sure to eat about four hours out so my stomach was pretty empty. I'm proud I didn't spew."

This is the sprint and keirin specialist's first 1km time trial in six years, but says he has no plans to keep riding them at world titles, although he may go again in Amdavad in four years time.

Coming to The Hydro on a high after defeating Australia last night, Jamaica is putting the pressure on New Zealand but are currently trailing by a few goals.

It seems like Jamaica is missing that spark we saw on the court yesterday, as if the Sunshine Girls are running a step behind the Silver Ferns — this kind of slow start ended up costing Australia a shot at the gold in Glasgow, has Jamaica made the same mistake?

We're looking at a score of 16-13, in favour of the Kiwis, at the end of the first quarter.

The Sunshine Girls only just made their latest goal, a critical buzzer-beater from Romelda Aiken to tighten that gap on the scoreboard.

Jimmy Reynolds pulls it out again in the fourth end, cleaning out a Kiwi bowl while stopping close to the jack. Remarkable.

Reynold's final bowl is close … the line is right. Does it have enough pace? It looks like it might. Ooh it is close. Is it the closest? His red bowl flops onto it's side.

That probably makes the difference! One to Australia.

Judo: Canada no match as another Aussie advances to final By Gemma Ferguson Australia is just too good for Canada's judokas, we've won both semifinals on the SEC Hall mat today!

Soon after Maria Swan claimed victory in the women's -78kg division, Kayhan Ozcicek-Takagi defeated Canada in the men's +100kg event.

Both Aussies will earn a podium finish for their efforts on day 10, now we just need to wait for the finals to see what colour those medals will be!

In a few hours, Ozcicek-Takag will take on Cyprus in the gold medal match.

Netball: Final match begins after Aussies claim bronze By Gemma Ferguson The very last netball match of Glasgow's Commonwealth Games has just started at The Hydro.

The New Zealand Silver Ferns are taking on Jamaica's Sunshine Girls in the gold medal game.

The Kiwis won silver at Birmingham's Commonwealth Games in 2022, and vowed they'd come back for the gold next time.

While there's no Aussie players currently on the court (after we won bronze earlier today), the big final is being umpired by three Australians!

She just defeated Canada in the semifinal, meaning Swan is guaranteed a judo medal in the women's -78kg division!

New Zealand get on the scoreboard in the third — when eight of the 12 bowls are so bunched around the jack you could throw a teatowel over them all.

A dominant draw by Delgado in the fourth started strong and Jimmy Reynolds brought it home perfectly. Yikes, that man is incredible.

The Aussies score three. 7-1 with one end to play.

That's surely the set wrapped up. New Zealand would need to score with every bowl in the final end. The way these Aussies are bowling, that feels impossible.

Track cycling: Leigh Hoffman ready for his 1,000m time trial run By Dean Bilton Hoffman is the second-last rider in this final, and will be trying to beat his teammate Tayte Ryan, who remains in the gold medal position and is now guaranteed a medal, with this run.

Hoffman is already a gold medal-winning sprinter in these Games, but in this distance is a bit of an unknown. He's off and racing.

He has exploded out of the blocks, as expected from this champion sprinter. Can he hold on in this last lap?

Outrageous! It's a 58.530 from Hoffman, and he has blown this final wide open! With one run to come, his position looks incredibly strong, the gold medal his to lose.

Buds in the bowls By Jon Healy Jackie Hudson from the para mixed pairs was in the stands to watch Serena Bonnell and Louise Hoskins win that para women's gold.

The 75-year-old was in the stands taking photos like a proud mum, although Hoskins, at 76, is the only person in the team who is her senior.

Track cycling: Another Aussie has a crack at 1,000m time trial gold By Dean Bilton The good news is Thomas Cornish remains in the silver medal position. The better news is that Tayte Ryan is about to have his crack at it, and is every chance of medalling himself.

He's tracking about 0.2 behind the leading time for most of this run. But he's a closer, this bloke...
