송 부장판사는 명씨와 대전시가 공동으로 김 양 부모에게 각각 1억900만원을, 동생에게 1천800만원을 지급하라고 판결했다.
학교장에 대한 청구는 기각됐다.
앞서 유족 측은 가해자인 명재완 뿐만 아니라 국가배상법에 따라 명씨를 관리·감독하는 교장과 대전시에도 이 사건의 책임이 있다고 보고 총 4억여원의 손해배상을 청구했다.
명씨는 지난해 2월 대전 한 초등학교에서 1학년이던 김 양을 시청각실로 유인한 뒤 흉기로 찔러 살해한 혐의(특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률 위반)로 기소돼 지난 4월 대법원에서 무기징역이 확정됐다.
