EBS는 올해를 'AI 전환의 원년'으로 선언하고 'AI 고전, 역사를 바꾼 100책' 등 다수의 AI 제작 콘텐츠를 선보이고 있다. 이러한 AI 콘텐츠의 교육적 가치와 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 외부 전문가 상설 검증 체계를 가동한 것이라고 EBS는 설명했다.
자문위원회는 인문학, AI 기술, 법률, 미디어 등 각 분야 전문가 5인으로 구성됐다. 위원장인 이은수 서울대 철학과 교수를 비롯해 맹성현 태재대 기획부총장, 이교구 서울대 융합과학기술대학원 교수, 구태언 변호사, 김경화 미디어인류학자가 참여해 역사적 사실 왜곡, 저작권 침해, 딥페이크 문제 등 AI 생성 콘텐츠의 위험 요소를 전방위로 검증한다.
위원회는 내년 4월 30일까지 1년간 운영되며, 분기별 개별 리포트 작성과 반기별 전체 회의를 통해 상시 검증을 이어간다.
김유열 EBS 사장은 "전문가들의 엄격한 검증 위에서 시청자가 믿고 볼 수 있는 AI 콘텐츠의 새로운 표준을 세워나가겠다"고 말했다.
