东阳木雕位列中国四大木雕之首，2006年被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。漫步木雕小镇，传统与现代交织的场景随处可见。例如，年轻匠人接过传承接力棒，数字化设计和智能制造让木雕以更多元的形式走进现代生活。
参访过程中，多位外籍嘉宾驻足观看木雕创作流程，细致观察作品中的人物神态、山水纹理和雕刻细节，感受其中蕴含的文化积淀和匠心传承。
木雕之美，源于一代代匠人的坚守；而木雕产业的发展，则让这门传统技艺拥有了更加广阔的空间。
近年来，东阳逐步形成集木材交易、设计研发、生产制造、销售展示于一体的完整产业链。目前，该市拥有木雕竹编家居企业1300余家，带动超过6万人就业。
对于传统文化与产业发展的融合，来自巴布亚新几内亚的律师兼西部高地省卫生管理局主席萨姆·科伊姆印象深刻。
“我的国家也拥有丰富的木材资源，一些地区同样有木雕传统，但这里展现出的雕刻精度以及工匠投入其中的专注与心血，仍让我感到十分震撼。”在萨姆·科伊姆看来，东阳木雕所展现的不仅是一门技艺的发展历程，更是一种文化传承与产业发展的有机结合。传统技艺在时代发展中不断创新，也为更多人创造了就业和发展机会。(完)
