She believes delays in treatment played a major role in her daughter’s death, though those claims have not been independently confirmed. After losing Brooke, the streamer said she never thought she would play Valorant again because her daughter had been her “gaming buddy.” For a long time, she stayed away from streaming and gaming because of the deep sadness she felt after the loss. However, she decided to return to streaming in November 2025 with one important goal. GrannyGamingz explained that every bit of money she earns from Twitch is being saved to pay for Brooke’s headstone.
