广州大学校长、中国密码学会副理事长翁健在致辞中回顾了裴定一先生的学术人生与家国情怀。裴定一是信息安全国家重点实验室学术委员会原主任、国家级有突出贡献中青年专家，曾多次荣获国家自然科学奖和国家科技进步奖。他师从数学大师华罗庚先生，是改革开放后教育部派出的第一批赴美访问学者。在美国普林斯顿大学期间，他潜心钻研，在3/2权模形式基本定理的研究中取得了非凡的成就，被国际数论学界评价为当时在模形式领域最重要的成果之一。

当国家信息安全事业发出召唤时，裴定一先生毅然从纯粹的数论研究转向密码学。“这一转身，体现了那一代科学家最深沉的家国情怀。”翁健指出，裴定一先生深知密码技术是网络空间安全的基石，是关乎国家安全与经济发展的命脉。正是在这种使命感的驱动下，他把数学理论与密码技术紧密结合，在认证码研究中取得了国际一流成果，先后荣获国家科技进步奖一等奖和二等奖。裴定一先生是中国密码学会的创立者之一，并担任第一、第二届理事长；他创办了《密码学报》并担任首任主编，为我国密码学事业的发展奠定了坚实基础。更令人敬佩的是，先生桃李满天下，培养了中国密码学领域一大批杰出人才。
谈及裴定一与广州大学的深厚缘分，翁健回顾道，裴定一先生于1994年全职来到广州师范学院(广州大学前身)，创建了数学与信息安全研究所。他带领团队为学校实现了学科建设跨越式发展：1998年获批应用数学硕士点，2002年在广东省首批开设信息安全本科专业，广州大学迅速成长为我国南方重要的密码学研究中心。
揭牌仪式后，举行了合作企业集中签约仪式。广州大学裴定一密码研究院分别与中国电科三十所、广州电信、奇安信、天融信、格尔软件、海泰方圆、芳禾数据等多家国内知名网络安全和密码企业签署了合作意向书。各方将在密码技术联合研发、实验室共建、人才培养与实训、成果转化等方面开展深度合作，构建产学研用协同创新的新生态。
据悉，广州大学将网络空间安全学科作为举全校之力重点培育、冲刺"双一流"的核心学科。近年来，在学科带头人方滨兴院士的引领下，网络空间安全学科实现跨越式发展，在2025年软科中国最好学科排名中跃居全国第三。(完)
