India Cruises Ahead with Strong Batting Performance

AM Ghazanfar seems to have hurt himself here while trying to save the boundary. He's stayed down for a bit and is receiving treatment just outside the boundary ropes. Hopefully, he is fine.

Fareed Ahmad to Yashasvi Jaiswal, FOUR! AM Ghazanfar should have done better there, and Fareed Ahmad is not happy one bit. Fractionally short and equally wide, on off. Jaiswal cuts it onto the turf and the ball bounces over the leaping Nangeyalia Kharote at backward point. AM Ghazanfar gets around from deep third with a sprint to his left and dives, but the ball sneaks under his body.

Ziaur Rahman to Yashasvi Jaiswal, At the hips by Rahman, Jaiswal hops to turn it away on the leg side. He fails to lay any bat on it and it deflects off the thigh pad behind square leg for a leg bye.

Fareed Ahmad to Rohit Sharma, FOUR! Nothing streaky about this one. Ahmad goes full in search of swing but dishes out a half-volley, on off. Rohit leans on and firms the drive through covers for four more.

Rohit goes hard on the pull but the ball catches a top edge and it is skied behind the wicket. Gurbaz, with the gloves on, goes after it, but the ball drops out of reach. A bit of backspin on the ball and it catches Gurbaz on the knee, who cannot slam the brakes quickly enough. The ball pings him on the right knee, and Gurbaz accidentally deflects it away beyond the fence.

Jaiswal cuts it to backward point, where there is a slight fumble from Nangeyalia Kharote and the batters sneak in a quick single. Kharote fires in a throw at the batting end but misses and the fielder backing up cannot mop it up cleanly, allowing the batters to run the second run.
