SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) announced on Monday the launch of a forum aimed at drawing up long-term strategies to boost the local capital market. Dubbed the "K-capital market forum," the forum is led by eight members, including executives from local brokerages and experts from academic circles, and supported by the Korea Capital Market Institute, a local financial think tank, the association said. They will hold regular forums every month starting in May and gather opinions from various experts. Ideas generated from such events will be compiled into a report and submitted to the National Assembly and the government to aid policymaking. Discussions will cover various agenda items related to improving the local capital market, the association added.
