SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) -- Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants was pulled from his latest game with back spasms after pushing his hitting streak to five.

Lee batted 1-for-2 from the leadoff spot against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix on Monday (local time). Lee singled in his second at-bat in the top of the third inning.

However, Lee was replaced in right field by Will Brennan at the start of the bottom fourth. Reports later said Lee had back spasms, which will likely force him to sit out Tuesday's game.

The South Korean outfielder is batting .268 in 48 games this season. The five-game hitting streak matched his season high.

Elsewhere in Major League Baseball, Kim Hye-seong of the Los Angeles Dodgers went 1-for-2 with a walk against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in San Diego. The Padres' own South Korean player, Song Sung-mun, came on as a defensive replacement in the eighth inning but did not get to hit.

The Padres eked out a 1-0 win for their fourth consecutive victory.

Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves went 0-for-2 with a walk in a 12-0 loss to the Miami Marlins at loanDepot park in Miami. Having gone hitless in four consecutive games, Kim is just 1-for-19 this season.

The South Korean shortstop made his season debut last Tuesday after recovering from an offseason finger injury.
