“Discussions are still in the early stages, but PCB has expressed willingness to collaborate, especially considering the strong ties between the two nations,” the source added.

Currently, the United Arab Emirates remains the primary hub for international cricket in the Middle East. It has regularly hosted major tournaments such as the Asia Cup, ICC events, and even the Indian Premier League. The UAE boasts three established international venues, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, and served as Pakistan’s home base for international cricket between 2010 and 2019. It also hosted the early seasons of the PSL, particularly when security concerns prevented matches from being held in Pakistan.
