Two sisters — one of whom was 9 months pregnant — were arrested after allegedly stabbing a Detroit restaurant worker after they got their food order wrong.

Brianna and Kierianna Long were charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon following the incident at a restaurant in the 17100 block of E Warren Avenue on May 30, WILX reported.

The sisters began arguing with a worker at the restaurant after receiving an incorrect order, and eventually went behind the counter and began assaulting the worker.

Brianna and Kierianna allegedly chased the worker through the restaurant while throwing things at them. The worker was throwing things back at the sisters, who picked up a knife that was thrown at them and used it to stab the worker in the stomach, prosecutors said.

The sisters also allegedly tried to throw hot grease at the worker, while one of the women apparently told the employee, “I’m going to kill you,” during the attack.

The worker, whose identity authorities have not publicly identified, was taken to a nearby hospital, where they underwent surgery.

The sisters allegedly drove away from the scene, but were later taken into custody.

Brianna, who was 9 months pregnant at the time of the alleged attack, gave birth just four days before her arraignment.

During the arraignment, Brianna’s defense attorney claimed the worker told the sisters they “don’t give a f***” about incorrect food orders. The attorney claimed the worker was the one who started throwing things first.

Brianna pleaded with the judge that she was innocent and had a four-day-old baby at home.

Despite this, the judge set their bonds high, with Brianna given a $25,000 cash bond and Kierianna given a $100,000 cash bond.

If the sisters post bond, they will be required to wear a GPS monitor, according to the report.

أسئلة مفتوحة

  • What was the exact nature of the argument?
  • What led to the worker throwing things?
  • What is the current condition of the worker?
