Rangers Head Coach Danny Rohl Assured of Position by Ibrox Board Amidst Fan Criticism

Danny Rohl has stated that he has been assured of his position as Rangers head coach by the Ibrox board.

Rangers have suffered three consecutive defeats in the Scottish Premiership and are set to finish third behind Hearts and Celtic. Rohl himself has been linked with a move to Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.

Rohl replaced Russell Martin at Rangers in October. He initially narrowed the gap to Hearts at the top of the league before the team's recent collapse, which means they will end the campaign without silverware once more.

This failure, coupled with the manner of their defeat by rivals Celtic on Sunday, has led to calls for Rohl to be dismissed from sections of the Rangers fanbase.

However, the German insists there is "no question" he will be in charge in Govan next season.

"Yes," Rohl said when asked if he had been given promises about his future at Ibrox. "I think the last 48 hours, there was unbelievable support from the board. Everyone around me sees a lot of positive things, but we are also critical of ourselves. I think there's no question mark."
