Safari Plaza Restaurant in Abu Dhabi Closed for Food Safety Violations

Authorities in Abu Dhabi have ordered the closure of Safari Plaza Restaurant after inspectors found repeated food safety violations that were deemed a threat to public health. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) said the restaurant, located on Al Muroor Street and operating under trade licence number CN-1010084, was administratively shut down for violating food safety regulations under Law No. 2 of 2008 governing food establishments in the emirate. According to ADAFSA, a food control report revealed that the establishment had repeatedly failed to comply with food safety requirements and did not adequately address previously identified violations despite being given opportunities to do so. The authority said immediate action was necessary to protect consumers and ensure food served to the public met required health and safety standards. The closure will remain in place until the restaurant corrects all violations, fulfils food safety requirements and receives approval to resume operations. ADAFSA said the move is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen food safety oversight across Abu Dhabi. The authority conducts regular inspections of food establishments to monitor compliance and safeguard public health.
