SEOUL, May 14 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Heavy Industries Co., a major South Korean shipyard, said Thursday it has clinched a deal worth 750.5 billion won (US$504 million) to build two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers. Samsung Heavy said in a regulatory filing that it signed the deal with an unidentified client in Oceania, noting the ships will be delivered by June 2029. So far this year, Samsung Heavy has won deals worth $3.9 billion to build 19 ships, including nine LNG carriers, two container vessels and four crude oil carriers.
