台灣近日接連發生多起毒駕車禍事件，行政院發言人李慧芝今（24）日表示，行政院長卓榮泰感到非常遺憾與痛心，也認為歷次修正「刑法」第185條之3及其他相關規範，顯然仍有不足之處，卓院長已指示法務部即刻展開全面檢討。
5月22日，彰化彰南路1起毒駕貨車案，貨車司機撞碎站在火鍋店門口聊天的林姓一家人，釀成2死3傷。隔天上午彰化市東谷路又有1台砂石車失控「直衝插進大賣場」。警方事後調查，砂石車運將同樣是毒駕上路，整起意外造成3人無辜受傷。
此外，本月23日，50歲王姓男子駕車經新北市中和區時，倒車時猛烈撞擊後方機車，隨後又駕車前進，當場輾壓被撞倒在地的林姓姊妹，64歲妹妹送醫急救不幸身亡。警方在王男身上搜出二級毒品「依託咪酯」喪屍菸彈及吸食器，且現場唾液快篩檢測呈現毒品陽性反應，當場將王男逮捕送辦。
李慧芝指出，歷次修正「刑法」第185條之3及其他相關規範，顯然仍有不足之處，卓院長已指示法務部即刻展開全面檢討。對於毒駕初犯、致死、致傷及連續累犯等行為人，政府將朝提高刑責及其他事前預防的方向研議，強化防免、警惕與嚇阻效果，避免悲劇再次發生；卓院長並要求「檢、警、調、憲、海巡、海關」等6大緝毒系統加強緝毒力道，全力保障社會安全與國人平安。
