Three Boys Charged with Alleged Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old Girl in Sydney

NSW Police have charged a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys with the alleged sexual assault of a girl in an alleyway in Sydney's eastern suburbs last month. Police executed search warrants and seized several items, including electronic devices, two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen. All three boys have been granted bail ahead of appearing in court.

Three boys have been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Police said it was alleged the girl was sexually assaulted by three boys in an alleyway on July 22. Officers executed search warrants at several homes in the city's east on Thursday and three boys, one aged 13 and two aged 14 who attend The Scots College private school in Bellevue Hill, were arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station. A 13-year-old and 14-year-old boy were later charged with aggravated sexual assault in the company of others and two counts of aggravated sexual touching of another person. The other 14-year-old has been charged with a single count of the same offences. Electronic devices were seized in the searches and would be forensically examined, police said. Two replica firearms, a Glock-style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate, which is believed to have been stolen, were also seized. The three boys have been granted bail.

School vows to cooperate with police The Scots College in a statement confirmed the three boys under investigation by police over the alleged gang attack were students. "The college takes this matter seriously and has cooperated, and will continue to cooperate, with police as required," the school said. "We believe it is important that the police investigation is allowed to take its course and it would not be appropriate for the college to comment further on the matter." The boys are scheduled to face children's court later this month.
