“A preliminary investigation showed the fire arose due to a malfunctioning power strip,” a Fire Services Department spokeswoman said.
She said 22 firefighting vehicles, 15 ambulances and 137 firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene.
One jet and a breathing apparatus team put out the fire. Three teams of rescuers searched for residents.
