Alba acquires French aluminum smelter Dunkirk for $2.2 billion

Bahrain's Alba announced the acquisition of France's Dunkirk Aluminum, the largest smelter in the EU, for $2.2 billion. The deal, supported by French investment bank Bpifrance, aims to build a global low-carbon aluminum platform.
